A definite smoky, grilled character dominates this full-bodied, deep and firmly tannic wine. It pours dried plum and late-picked berry flavors over chocolate and freshly cut oak elements.

The 2022 Shenandoah Valley Barbera has notes of peppercorn, cranberry, Bing cherry, orange chocolate, fresh thyme, violets on the nose. A generous palate of flavor is filled with cherry, ripe plums and wet stone. This is long, yet delicate on the finish.

This wine is rich, with aromas of black currant confiture, black peppercorn, dried flowers and chicory on the nose. The flavors on the palate are dark plum, cassis, green olive and lemon zest, intertwined with vanilla cream, dried tobacco leaf and a dry finish. Pair with barbecue.
